Fran Silvestre Arquitectura 2018–2026 brings together a careful selection of homes that synthesize the studio's recent research on residential architecture. The house is approached here as a privileged work environment, where light, material and technique are precisely combined to give shape to clear, serene and rigorous spaces.

The publication follows the 2017 monograph, Scenarios for Life, which collected the studio's first works together with projects of different scales. In contrast to that broader vision, this edition focuses exclusively on recent domestic production, allowing a more refined and mature reading of his career.

Through projects built in different contexts, the volume shows an architecture that pursues essentiality without sacrificing complexity: refined spaces, defined by the relationship between interior and exterior, the control of light and a constant constructive optimization. The homes presented – from Casa Piera or Casa del Silencio to Casa Lago or The Sphinx – allow us to read a coherent evolution based on formal clarity, lightness and precise attention to everyday life.

In this journey, the house appears as an open system capable of integrating landscape, program and technique in the same design logic. The projects explore blurred boundaries, continuous spatial sequences, and a reduced materiality that intensifies the domestic experience, placing the inhabitant at the center of the architecture without resorting to unnecessary formal gestures.

The texts by Álvaro Siza, Manuel Aires Mateus and Emilio Tuñón place this work in a broader context, highlighting its ability to build a silent, rigorous and contemporary architecture, where technique becomes a means to achieve the essential.

With extensive graphic and technical documentation, this monograph offers a synthetic and in-depth vision of a practice that understands housing as a support for life and as a space for architectural research.
